Central District Organizing Project, CDOP is a community organizing collective working together to gain power to improve the historic Midtown/Central District neighborhood in Gary, Indiana. They unite residents, religious organizations, community organizations, and individual activists into a powerful coalition fighting for social and economic justice. CDOP develops grassroots leaders and organizes local issue campaigns, utilizing "direct action" organizing to win real improvements in the lives of real people.
