Central District Organizing Project, CDOP is a community organizing collective working together to gain power to improve the historic Midtown/Central District neighborhood in Gary, Indiana. They unite residents, religious organizations, community organizations, and individual activists into a powerful coalition fighting for social and economic justice. CDOP develops grassroots leaders and organizes local issue campaigns, utilizing "direct action" organizing to win real improvements in the lives of real people. In accord with that mission, they also operate ANANSI'S WEB YOUTH MEDIA ACTION PROJECT, a youth leadership program that cultivates youth voice and empowerment in Gary by engaging local teens in youth media, technology, personal development, and social justice activism. 
Community Coalition of South Los Angeles seeks to transform the social and economic conditions in South LA that foster addiction, crime, violence and poverty by building a community institution that involves thousands in creating, influencing and changing public policy. Community Coalition works with African American and Latino residents to build a prosperous and healthy South LA with safe neighborhoods, quality schools, a strong social safety net and positive economic development in order to reduce crime, poverty and substance abuse in our community. 
The Institute of Caribbean Studies (ICS) is a non-partisan, non-profit 501 (c)(3) organization established in 1993 dedicated education, advocacy and action on issues that impact on Caribbean-Americans. The purpose of the Institute is to provide a forum for the public and private sector, the non-government organization community, scholars and others interested in promoting a dialogue; and assist in the execution of actions that result from that dialogue. 
The Institute of the Black World 21st Century (IBW) seeks to rekindle the historic legacy of scholar-activists , women and men, who founded the original IBW in 1970. In that spirit, through research, analysis and advocacy, IBW 21st Century is committed to building the capacity of the Black Community to struggle against racism, sexism and oppression of any form, to work for the social, political, economic and cultural uplift and development of Black America and the Global Black Community and an enhanced quality of life for all oppressed people. 
The United Congress of Community and Religious Organizations mobilizes people. They build relationships across racial, ethnic, religious and geographic boundaries to build the power needed to transform communities and win together. The United Congress mobilizes policy. They develop the capacity of organizations and communities to develop and advocate on racially equitable solutions within a grassroots human rights framework.
VOTE: Voice of the Ex-Offender is a grassroots, membership based organization founded and run by Formerly Incarcerated Persons in partnership with allies dedicated to ending the disenfranchisement and discrimination against of FIPs. VOTE believes that FIPs, their loved ones, allies and communities can use their experiences and expertise to improve public safety in New Orleans. Through civic engagement and training FIPs in the legal system, policy and legislation as well as other job and leadership skills VOTE will create a strong group of reformers to lead the transformation of the city's criminal justice system.  |
